Canon

  What follows is the first chapter in an (as of yet) unfinished short story called Canon. I was going through kind of a bad time and I thought that this would be one way to keep moving forward. Part of the goal was to tell a cohesive story out of sequence, taking the reader on something of a ride before everything fell into place. I'm not sure if I will ever return to it, but here's what I have. I hope you enjoy what's here... even if I haven't really had time to proof it... as though that's stopped me in the past.
